Awe of Autumn Pressed Leaves Quilt Kit

Cherie Borden's review in regard to poor instructions describes my same thoughts. There are easier ways to complete this quilt and agree there are no finished sizes stated for 1/2 square triangles. I too am an experienced quilter which enabled me to complete the quilt using my previously learned piecing knowledge. It should be the responsibility of the seller (My Girlfriend's Quilt Shoppe) to report our reviews to Riley Blake, not we the customers if this shop continues to sell this kit/pattern. Customers need to be informed of the poor instructions before they purchase this quilt pattern/kit.

My order arrived in a timely fashion. I can't wait to get in my sewing room and start this project! Gorgeous kit as always!

Oh I love this kit!! From just opening the box & seeing the collector box with the kit inside, then the pattern & the lovely fall fabrics! This will be a beautiful quilt & I can’t wait to start!!

The pattern is very cute and the fabrics are adorable, but the instructions are very poorly written! There are much simpler and more sensible ways to make things like half square triangles better than the designer has you make them by cutting them on diagonal triangles and piecing them all back together… Definitely not the best way! Also, there are no finished sizes given after completing each little block or section. I’ve had to re-math everything and make the half score triangles and the flying geese in a more sensible way and figure out the finish sizes on my own. Beautiful pattern, but very poor instructions. I’m just glad I’m an experienced enough quilter to have caught her poor instructions and knew how to do them better. A beginner quilter would definitely struggle and be unhappy with the results of sewing triangles cut on a bias back together.
