Choosing fabric for a quilt can sometimes be the most stressful part of the process... but it doesn't have to be! We've got 6 tips on how to make this a fun and blissful experience! Here is how to make it work!

STEP 1: CHOOSE THEME

Who is the quilt for? Is it to celebrate a holiday or to decorate your home? Think about the intention of the quilt.

STEP 2: FOCUS FABRIC

Find the fabric that "calls your name"... the one you just can't live without! Oftentimes it is a larger print with multiple colors.

STEP 3: SCALE & SIZE

Vary up the different sizes of prints. Keeping everything the same is boring. Add small and medium to the larger prints.

STEP 4: RESTFUL SOLIDS

Having too many competing prints can make the quilt very busy. Allow the eye to rest by bringing in several different solids.

STEP 5: TAKE RISKS

Some may "play it safe" by staying within one line of fabric. But don't be afraid to pull from multiple lines! You have our permission! ;)

STEP 6: HAVE FUN!

Quilting is all about having FUN! Don't get "hung up" on making sure everything is perfect. Enjoy the process from start to finish.
