Replacing Your Bobbin in 4 Easy Steps

Replacing your bobbin is a simple process and one you'll often do as you sew. Here is your Girlfriend's Guide to replacing your bobbin on a top-loading sewing machine in 4 easy steps.

Step 1: Before placing your bobbin into the sewing machine, make sure your thread is going in the right direction on your bobbin. The bobbin's thread should be coming off the left-hand side, forming a letter "P".

Step 2: Open the lid that covers the space where the bobbin gets placed and insert the bobbin.

Step 3: Hook your thread into the designated notch on the sewing machine, and bring it around to sit at the back of your sewing machine.

Step 4: Replace the lid that covers to bobbin and begin sewing!
